I first arrived at Two Saints, Andover, homeless and with huge debts. I needed shelter and help with managing my financial difficulties. Two Saints staff helped me talk to my creditors and set up affordable repayment plans.
I started attending Basingstoke College where I gained my first literacy and maths qualification. I moved into my own flat and am maintaining my tenancy while continuing to pay off my debts. I found a job in a local pub and really enjoy the work. If I had to give advice to anyone experiencing debt problems it would be “deal with your problem straight away and don’t bury your head in the sand”.
I’m so grateful for the support from Two Saints and so I take an active role in the Client Involvement team. This enables people like me who’ve been helped by Two Saints to feedback comments and help develop services for others.
I wanted to give something back to show my appreciation and so I completed a sponsored walk to raise funds for Two Saints.
