Steve Benson smiling

We are delighted that our previous chief executive, Steve Benson, has been awarded honorary life membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) at their Presidential dinner which took place in February. The award recognises Steve’s significant contribution to the CIH and the housing profession.

Steve was our chief executive for nine years, a time which helped us grow into the organisation we are today, successfully supporting people in need. Steve retired from full time employment last year after a career spent tirelessly working in the housing and homelessness sector, but he continues to play a key role in supporting housing associations in his retirement.

Richard Gammage, chief executive of Two Saints said,

I’m delighted to join in congratulating Steve for this richly deserved recognition, his contribution to housing and homelessness continues to make a huge difference in the sector“.

Steve received the award from Geraldine Howley, Chair of the CIH and was congratulated at the ceremony by Sir Keir Starmer, Leader of the Labour Party.
