Our Night Life Café in our Southampton Day Centre has welcomed its 2,500th visitor since opening in June this year!
This café is a partnership project between City Life Church and Two Saints. Welcoming the 2,500th visitor to the café is a fantastic achievement, as it means that hundreds of people experiencing homelessness or in need of support have been provided access to a safe and welcoming space.
We’re pleased to say that the Night Life Café is making headlines again as it was recently featured in an article by the Daily Echo celebrating its achievements so far. You can read all about it here.

Although still in its infancy, the café has seen growing numbers month after month, providing food, drinks, warmth, and companionship to more thab 300 people in Southampton.
Paul Woodman of City Life Church said the initiative continues to grow in impact and importance.
He said: “Our aim has always been to create a calm, friendly atmosphere where people feel seen and supported.
“The people who use the café are often hungry and more recently cold – but what really matters is that they know we are here to help.
“We want everyone who comes through the doors to experience kindness, and a sense of community.”
Visitors to the café can enjoy hot drinks, biscuits, and simple meals such as Pot Noodles, alongside the opportunity to chat, relax, or play games like Scrabble, Connect 4, and cards.
For many, the Night Life Café has become a lifeline — a place of warmth, friendship, and hope at a time when it’s most needed.
“It’s not just about food and warmth,” Paul added. “It’s about human connection. We talk, we laugh, and we create moments of normality that remind people they matter.”
Since opening, Night Life Café has averaged around 25 guests per evening, with the busiest night so far seeing 44 visitors.
The café is run mostly by volunteers, and new helpers and sponsors are always welcome.
Donations to support the project can be made directly through City Life Church or Two Saints.
The Night Life Café is based at our Day Centre, which is a lifeline to our clients in Southampton, offering them somewhere to shower, do their laundry, visit the GP, and access support services.
However, our costs continue to rise, and we need to raise £30k by April – can you help?
