On 7 March we officially opened Brent House in Middle Park Way, Havant.

Over a period of five years Two Saints, with the support of Havant Borough Council, has extensively renovated the property that will now provide 29 much-needed temporary homes with support, for single people and families.

Guests were given a tour of the building and were impressed with the environment and facilities.

Janice Hughes, Executive Director of Investment, Assets and Risk at Two Saints, is delighted with the result of the renovation works and said,

“We’re proud to have worked in partnership with VIVID, Havant Borough Council, Lloyds Bank and various contractors to provide 29 temporary homes for single people and small families.

“It’s been challenging to redesign a large building so that it retains flexibility for the people who live there and provides secure accommodation with on-site help to find a permanent home.

“We want to build on existing community partnerships so that people living here can access the full range of support offered in the area.

Councillor Gwen Robinson, Deputy Leader of Havant Borough Council and Cabinet Lead for Affordable Housing, Communities & CIL, had this to say,

“I’m delighted to be a part of the official opening of Brent House. Working in partnership, Two Saints and Havant Borough Council will strive to support those residents who have found themselves experiencing challenging and difficult times.

“This invaluable asset will provide security and a safe space for those at need, whilst working in tandem with the council in securing permanent homes for its residents. Brent House is an inspirational resource which will provide life-changing opportunities to our residents, and I welcome the many benefits it will provide.”

Those who attended the launch of Brent House included Havant Borough Council, Off the Record, Lloyds Bank and VIVID.

Speeches were given by Councillor Gwen Robinson, Deputy Leader of Havant Borough Council and Cabinet Lead for Affordable Housing, Communities & CIL and Janice Hughes, Executive Director of Investment, Assets and Risk at Two Saints.

The Two Saints staff at Brent House will provide vital support for clients staying in the temporary accommodation to help them move on to permanent homes.
