It’s getting far too chilly out there, but here are some headlines that have been warming our hearts this November!

The brilliant team in Fareham put together this amazing multi-faith room at their service, which clients are free to use whenever they would like.
The room is complete with soft lighting, various religious texts, and colouring pages, providing a quiet and comfortable place for clients to practice their faith.
This is such a great idea to make clients feel comfortable and included whilst they are staying in services.
Staff in Portsmouth gave their communal garden a Bonfire Night makeover with a fire pit and winter treats!
Clients gathered throughout the evening to sit around the fire chatting and roasting marshmallows.
It was chocolate galore as clients (and staff!) enjoyed some chocolate dipped fruit and even a few hot chocolates. For the clients who did not feel like sitting in the garden, staff very kindly delivered some homemade s’mores for to them enjoy in their rooms.
To top the night off, everyone gathered to try out some sparklers – which was a first for some of the staff!

Our client Tina has earned her Food & Safety Hygiene Level 1 qualification with support from our budget.
Tina has been working hard to achieve this qualification so that she could cook food for her fellow clients, and we look forward to seeing this goal come to life.
A massive well done, Tina!
Our very brave HR Manager, Dawn, recently took part in a cold plunge at Andvark Lake in support of Abby’s Heroes.
Dawn said: “It was a challenge I really wanted to take on to raise money for a charity close to my heart.
“Abby’s Heroes has given my niece incredible support over the last year, and I thought – if she can be that brave through difficult times, I can certainly shiver for a good cause!”
The total raised by all the participants is £9,000 so far.

Our wonderful team in Portsmouth have been hard at work creating this amazing library for their clients!
The library is now home to a whole host of books and DVDs that clients are able to borrow, as well as some useful flyers and art supplies.
The team is hoping to use the library to aid clients who have difficulty reading, or would like a staff member to read to them.
A special mention goes out to Josie, our brilliant assistant homeless recovery worker, who worked very hard to set up the library and gather materials.
This lovely artwork was drawn by one of our clients to show some appreciation for the staff members that work so hard to create a brighter future for those that pass through their service.
Our service staff, do amazing and vital work for our clients and the wider organisation, always doing the right things for the right reasons.
Thank you for all of your brilliant work, and here’s to helping more sad caterpillars to become beautiful butterflies!
