Work for us

A career in supported housing with Two Saints offers variety, the opportunity to gain qualifications and the chance to work with some of society's most disenfranchised people.

Working as a member of one of our teams supporting people towards independent living means you will be contributing to profound positive changes in people's lives.

Whilst we support and encourage staff to develop their expertise and gain qualifications, you do not need to have previously worked in the sector to build a career with us. The ability to learn, personal qualities and the ability to work non-judgementally to help people resolve often complex problems are the key things we seek in new staff.

Development

Once you have joined Two Saints you will have the chance to experience a wide variety of training and development opportunities. You will meet up with other new starters on your organisational induction day and then have an in-depth induction at your place of work.

During your first six months’ employment you will be invited onto our core training programme which covers topics such as Health & Safety, Understanding Basic Benefits, Substance Misuse etc. There are other training courses you can choose to attend also to enhance the skills, knowledge and experience you already have.

Along the way, there will be opportunities to apply for secondments to other roles to broaden your experience and to develop into a supervisory or management role if that is your ambition.

Two Saints aims to give everyone the opportunity to maximise their potential during their employment with us.

What our staff say

“I get real job satisfaction from helping people to gain independence and move in to their own flat. When I see someone’s delight at having a key to their own front door, possibly for the first time ever, nothing can beat that”

“Being a project worker is a challenging job and sometimes frustrating, but I know that I am doing something worthwhile.”

“My job is to try to engage service user clients to encourage them back into learning, sometimes through creative arts or by using IT. When this goes well, you can see them start to gain confidence in themselves and to think that maybe they can start to believe they can get a decent job.”

“I like the way that Two Saints involves staff and service users in things that affect us all. Some of our service users are involved in helping with recruitment, showing applicants around the project before their interview.”
