Daniel moved into Acton Lodge in September 06 as part of a planned move from the direct access hostel in Fareham. He had very limited life skills and had been homeless for a while. During his time at Acton Lodge, Daniel’s life skills improved and through support from his key worker he learnt to budget his money, go food shopping and prepare and cook food.
Daniel had a history of substance misuse which with support, he slowly reduced and eventually stopped. He received support with counselling and eventually was successful in securing a job in the local area.
After receiving his first months pay, Daniel started to look for private accommodation, where he lives now. He is still working and no longer requires support from Two Saints.
"All day sitting round town being homeless and never anything to do, becoming stressed and bored more and more every second. At the end of most days finding somewhere to sleep and trying to get to sleep and stay asleep and out of trouble is the main thing I have interest in."

"I am a 20 year old girl who is gratefully receiving support from the staff team at Dene Court. Without this support I would not be dealing with my life successfully. I would not be in employment, I would not be clean and dry, I would not be rebuilding my relationship with my family and friends, but most importantly I wouldn’t be sleeping in a safe, dry, clean place. Unlike some I am very fortunate to be given another chance to establish my life. Dene Court is a fantastic hostel where you can live or crash to sort your life out, get clean and get some much needed support. I certainly know that I would have nothing to live for without Dene Court and their fantastic staff."
