Welcome to the Base

Big Lottery logo The Base

We have been fortunate enough to secure three years part funding for The Base project from the Big Lottery Fund along with part funding once again from Two Saints.

The Big Lottery Fund (BLF) is a 'Reaching Communities Programme' whose aims include:

'People having better chances in life, because they are able to get training and development to improve their skills.'

The Base aims to engage with disadvantaged or reluctant learners to improve their skills and opportunities for accredited learning and employment.

Our service users can learn through creative arts, essential and life skills, communication and expression, Information Technology and manual skills. We aim to give you the support and direction you need to develop your skills and enable you to move towards independent living. Some of the other key areas we hope to support you with include: gaining recognised accredited qualifications, offering sustainable employment opportunities and generally increase confidence and motivation.
