Services in Basingstoke
Two Saints has recently begun to offer a Floating Support Service in this area which is offering crucial support to both families and single people who need help with housing related issues and who may be at risk of eviction and homelessness. The service covers the whole Basingstoke & Deane area with a specialist team of Floating Support workers.
The service is available to service users aged 16 years and upwards who have accommodation needs.
All Service Users will be offered an Assessment and Support Plan.
The following support can be undertaken where appropriate.
- Help with setting up home.
- Developing domestic/life skills.
- Developing social skills and behaviour management.
- Basic skills training and help accessing educational services.
- Education around homelessness, schools, colleges.
- Advocacy
- Benefit claims
- Assessment and referral to other services
- Monitoring health and well-being
- Security support relating to racial harassment
