Southampton and Eastleigh ex-offenders services

Our ex-offenders services cater for people who have an offending history and who would benefit from support with their accommodation.

Clients are referred from a number of different sources such as Probation, BETA resettlement at HMP Winchester and Street Homeless Prevention Team.

Our specialist workers consider the needs of each applicant and make clear decisions about how we may be able to offer support. These are quickly fed back to the applicant. The work we do with our service users includes support with housing related tasks and staff offer “Its Your Move Training”. This helps service users achieve the basic living skills they will need when they move on from supported housing into more independent accommodation. Areas covered include budgeting, household skills and a return to training and learning. 

Two Saints supports service users to become proactive; enabling and encouraging them to engage with other agencies to help in their resettlement and progression.

We support service users to give structure to their lives by holding regular weekly house-meetings and key work sessions.

Two Saints encourages residents to take charge of their personal responsibilities, such as budgeting and bill payment and accessing voluntary or paid work. We can help develop or re-establish links with family. Two Saints staff are also able to support our service users who need help with substance misuse or health issues.

HAAS service

From its base in Southampton, this service covers South Hampshire and Southampton itself. There are two full time posts and one half time post for this service. We work very closely with the Probation Service and the Police in order to resettle ex offenders in the community. The aim of the service is to provide help to secure appropriate accommodation as well as providing resettlement, floating support to ex-offenders aged 16 and above.
