Kings Road

Kings Road is a clean and dry service for clients who wish to remain abstinent after following residential detoxification programmes, or community based treatment programmes.

Kings Road is a 9 bed private house in a residential setting, situated in Fareham town centre and is part of the Two Saints organisation.

The service offers acommodation for individuals who require support with substance misuse issues and support with finding accommodation for resettlement in the local community. Residents will attend and participate in all timetabled activities and groups. They are encouraged to demonstrate a commitment to a formal programme of support, designed to facilitate the development of life skills and self development, which may promote the transition to independent living and own accommodation.

This support is housing related and can cover the following objectives:

• to provide a safe and stable environment.
• to remain an integral part of the Two Saints staging programme in the Fareham and Gosport area whilst maintaining a policy of fair access for clients from external agencies.
• to support clients to address identified barriers to existing move-on options through a client focussed programme of support and life skills.
• to provide a floating support service to tenants accommodated in the sublet scheme and those accommodated privately and with other services as part of a planned move-on.
• to provide ongoing floating support on a needs led basis to tenants that gain a successful nomination for a secured council tenancy, following the initial period of obligatory support provision.

The above aims are achieved through assessment, support planning and a review process. Each client will be allocated a Support Worker who will offer a support package based on assessment of individual needs. We aim to incorporate client views at every stage of this process. Clients can ask for a review of their Support Plan at any time.
