Day Centre

Southampton Day Centre The Day Centre provides a safe, welcoming environment where homeless people can access basic services: nourishing hot food, hot showers, laundry facilities, health care and sign posting to other agencies.  Our effective service gives tangible help to vulnerable, disadvantaged and socially excluded individuals. Rather than sustain people in their street based lifestyles the skilled and dedicated staff team work to: advocate on behalf of individuals, locate appropriate housing, sustain tenancies, and offer an activity programme which builds self esteem and develops skills.

Service Provision

• Skilled, multi-task staff team 
• Referral to direct access hostels, housing associations & private rented accommodation
• Referral to other Two Saints projects and support services
• Access to Homeless Health Care Team offering a range of health interventions
• Access to “The Base” (art, pottery, IT rooms)
• Advocacy, advice, liaison with other agencies
• Breakfast, lunch & drinks 
• Clean clothing (free of charge)
• Laundry service
• Shower & washing facilities (free of charge)
• Garden area
• Signposting to other agencies

Two Saints Accommodation Worker

We work with the Street Homeless Prevention Team to secure private rented accommodation for service users. The post holder works closely with private landlords in order to gain the best possible accommodation. This post covers the Southampton area, and is a valuable resource for people who are able to live independently.

There is some rental deposit finance which can help when securing accommodation within the private rented sector.
