'The Faithfulls' play the BOBi League

8 February 2012

The Lucy Faithfull House football team have a thoroughly enjoyable day and do better than expected with the help of a 'borrowed' member for the team!

Andy Swapp - Learning Co-Ordinator at Oxford, kindly sent us an update about the Lucy Faithfull House football team ‘The Faithfulls’. The Faithfulls played in the BOBi league on Wednesday 18th January. Pictured left: Striker - Leon D takes on the opposition.

Andy tells us: "We played a good set of games and did better than expected not least by having a ringer  ‘Tony’ from Newbury Two Saints as a borrow! Thanks to Steve Bishop - Newtown Road Service Manager and his team ‘The Saints’. His team are in the 'A' Division and The Faithfulls in the ‘B’ so no doubt The Faithfulls were helped by all Tony’s efforts and goal scoring ability.

We won two, lost two and drew four so a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all taking part."
